What, you don't think people would pay Price for sex?

Touche. I like this poster -- nice separation of the characters. Gene Tierney is "nifty fifty" ;) Even more, she's the bees' knees! Zowie!

Nice on Mac.

Dana Andrews was great in Curse of the Demon - I love that movie!

*hint* *hint*

Mob- Vincent Price in any time period being considered sexy gives me hope for myself. Tall goofy guys will come back into vogue one of these days, I just know it! Then I can lead a life of leisure as a male model. It can happen..

Erik- Zowie indeed, sir. Did'ya know she had a fling with JFK but was found unsuitable by the family? Nothing against Jackie O but...

Al- You're such a taskmaster! Sure, why not. Actually, I have that dvr'ed but haven't watched it yet.

Love this one. Interesting color choices.

One of my regrets in my life was that I didn't see Vincent Price when he spoke at my college in the eighties. He was, people told me, witty and charming.

I loved how he spoofed his horror movie image for an American Express commercial in the early nineties: they had a program where you could get kickbacks on your spending, and he was delightedly standing by hiw reward: an electronic bug zapper.

Johnny- It's very cartoony to me. I like the way the artist managed to capture Tierney's sultry withering look from that scene. Price was very cultured apparently, amassing a priceless modern and primitive art collection before he died.

Now that you say cartoony, I can't help but imagine Dick Tracy in profile on the left...

Vincent Price's role in this sure does seem creepy.

Mob- Kinda in that both wear fedoras.

Jr- He seemed more goofy than creepy to me but then again he always did. Up until this film, he would've been one of the last actors on earth I would've thought of as a gigolo type. I always liked 'em though.

It's interesting who have amassed respected collections. You probably know that Edward G. Robinson had an internationally respected collection, and that Steve Martin has what is considered one of the best collections of modern art in the world.

MacGuffin said...

Johnny- Yeah, I knew Eddie G had quite a collection but not Steve Martin. Apparently, Martin has a Ph.D in Philosophy or something along those lines, so that's that's not too surprising at all.
