I'll check this out because you say so. Mitchum is a man's man, fella..and I mean that in a (semi)totally non-gay way.

al- Yes I do which includes dance numbers and impressions.

skin- Mitchum is the man. If I only had his voice, I could've gotten laid a gazillion times over (before I got married honey). You should watch Night of the Hunter, Cape Fear, and Angel Face while you're at it.

Over here in the UK, through the day they show great movies like that on terrestrial (ie non cable/satellite) TV.

When I get in from work, it's wall to wall cookery shows, Pop Idol and crappy soap operas.

Figures.

I used to scour the schedules and record anything old and cool looking and watched more great movies that way, that were made decades ago than I can count.

- for my next request I'd like some Billy Wilder, with you break dancing and quoting Robert Burns.

Ok?

al- Double Indemnity coming up w/ me doing the Robot whilst doing my impression of George W. I don't recite poetry, that would be too demeaning.

blanco- Cause you fall asleep.

You should be getting kickbacks from the tobacco industry for bringing it back with all these posters from yesteryear.

You know I'm not allowed to discuss that.

Was there anyone cooler than cooler than Robert Mitchum?

Did you know he did a calypso album? It's actually pretty good.

Some years back, my friend The Elk found the album on vinyl at a garage sale. He's fond of giving cheesy vinyl as birthday gifts, and sent it along to a friend. The friend found out that it's a rarity, and worth a lot. It was pretty amusing.

The first time I was in Kim's home, when I was dating her, I noticed that at the top of her cd stack was that album on cd. I knew I'd found the right woman.

He was so laconic it's difficult picturing hime crooning about anything but then again, he did sing a bit in Night of the Hunter.

getkristilove- I can't imagine any on who likes Mitchum, Film Noir or "classic" movies in general being disappointed with this one.
