I read a while back that the Raymond Burr segment in "Godzilla" is only in the US release-- that it was added on.
Any idea why the name change for the US release?

That would go a long way toward explaining why he's so cranky...
Perhaps it was only a giant splinter (think telephone pole) in his foot to begin with that pissed him off... just a huge misunderstanding really.
